Studies conducted at the University of Geneva found that males who were provided with tea and caffeine burned a vastly increased number of calories than people who were allowed only caffeine or only a placebo after exercising. Green tea has also been discovered to be effective in preventing or stopping the causes of arthritis and also in decreasing cholesterol in a large number of cases.
In cases experimented on rats, scientists at the University of Chicago found that EGCG encouraged rats to lose approximately 21% of their body fat during clinical trials. As EGCG is an appetite suppressant, they found that giving rats regular injections of EGCG caused the rats to consume up to 60% less food than the rats that were on the placebo trials.
This study has been cited frequently as a means of proving that the compound EGCG, found naturally in green tea, is a powerful, healthy and natural appetite suppressant.

The Effect Of Green Tea On Low Blood Sugar Levels
Posted by admin | Filed under Benefits
Whilst there is no significant confirmation of the effect that I’m about to describe, it has lately been believed that a little understood part of tea’s widely regarded benefits is the idea that it is able to stop the negative effects of diabetes. Green tea works by always regulating the glucose in the bloodstream, which should help to monitor the low blood sugar effects of diabetes.
Green tea can be used to lower blood sugar in the body and has been used in this way for centuries. Studies have implied that Acai and green tea may help to prevent the onset of type 1 diabetes and, after it then develops, may prevent the progression of the diabetes. Those with type 1 diabetes generally develop low amounts of insulin. This is a hormone which helps to convert glucose, starch compounds, and other compounds into energy. Research has stated that green tea can help to monitor glucose in the blood stream, and so acts in a similar manner to the chemical insulin, it should be kept in mind that this has not been completely proven.
